Overview

The Global Fund Services (GFS) Fund Accounting & Tax AD team is responsible for the development and support of the Mercury suite of applications which calculate and report on fund NAV price release and Tax liabilities. The Mercury suite of applications cover multiple tax jurisdictions including German/Austrian/UK/Swiss/Italian Tax in addition to Capital Gains Tax for Brazil/Australia/EMEA.

 

Major initiatives for 2016 include the re-architecting of the Capital Gains Tax application along with delivery of a strategic solution for the calculation of Australian Tax.

 

The AD team is responsible for technology delivery to the business who are located in Luxembourg, Dublin, Boston, Brazil, India and Australia. The Development team is located across Bournemouth, Glasgow, Mumbai, and Pune.

 

Role

The role is to work with the existing team to deliver an aggressive agenda of development work in the Tax area. Projects will range from implementing regulatory requirements, client defined changes, expanding the platform into new markets or technology improvements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects adhering to the JPM System Development Lifecycle
  • Understand configuration and deployment management processes
  • Analyse, Design, Build, Test and manage implementations to Production and Non-Production environments
  • Understand/apply reusable code design to leverage application architecture/framework capabilities and functionality, and design/develop solutions that are highly reliable, scalable, and perform to meet business-defined service levels
  • Contribute to the technical code and design documentation
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Ensure quality solutions are built and tested
  • Identify and implement improvements to products
  • Experience on .NET Development, Builds, and Deployments
  • Experience on working with databases (Oracle PL/SQL, Sybase, SQL Server).
  • Experience with build, code and deployment processes and have contributed to design
  • Experience communicating release schedules, activities and status
  • Experience managing multiple builds and releases simultaneously
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in the current release process
  • .NET Development experience in C# (preferred), Winforms, WPF, WCF and working on 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 environments
  • Proven expertise and deep experience with Enterprise Multi-tier Desktop and Multi-threaded software development, application/database tuning
  • Proven expertise in Automated Unit Testing (NUnit or similar) and Mocking (NMoq or similar)
  • Good understanding of Continuous Integration and build (using Teamcity or similar)
  • Good experience of SVN or any source code repository
