The Position:
As the creative Director for our Chase Creative Agency, you will work across our internal Brand creative and video agencies to solve creative challenges, drive innovation and business results.  You will partner with marketing clients on the design and development of marketing materials across multiple channels and creative disciplines. Work includes communication programs, brand guidelines, customer experiences, brand creative strategies, social media, video and digital campaigns
You’ll be an ambassador for design and design thinking, leading the synthesis of user research and insights, developing new concepts in conjunction with cross-functional teams across the marketing, brand, corporate communications, and digital teams.  You’ll build internal capacity for design thinking on teams by developing a curriculum, leading sessions and assembling best practices to share across the organization.  Essential to this role is the ability to craft strategic creative responses based on your insights and the ability to inspire clients with the presentation of these ideas.  You have proven ability to bridge the gap between the client challenge (understanding, insights and business objectives) and the creative ideas that solve these challenges.
Summary Description:
Defines and oversees the creative strategy, development and execution of design for Chase.  Acts as primary sounding board for the entire Creative group in support and refinement of Chase’s brand.  Provides a high level of relationship building and business strategy to Creative and Client teams.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides overall creative direction and feedback for a team of copy writers, designers and publishers to create strategic, cutting-edge, targeted communications
  • Champion brand positioning at every point of contact, upholding integrity of creative standards
  • Supports Marketing and business team leadership in the evaluation, development and refinement of strategic communications at the individual project, program and selling-system levels
  • Extends the Chase editorial and design platform through all business units, integrating messaging throughout multiple forms of media
  • Teams with communications colleagues in focusing and translating business partner needs into smart, measurable creative strategies
  • Contributes strategic ideas and innovative thinking to enable business objectives
  • Enables development of fresh, compelling creative concepts that add to the Chase customer experiences and brand
  • Ensures copy is benefit driven and portrays Chase “voice” across print and digital channels
  • Teams with operations and functional team managers to refine workflow processes to better meet high-volume, high quality program demands
  • Actively contributes higher-level ideas and messaging that positions and differentiates Chase
  • Keeps abreast of changes at Chase including insight into industry, competitive, target audience and marketplace changes
  • Aware of major cross-company initiatives, marketing and publicity programs, representing and addressing channel concerns and needs as appropriate
  • Builds strong, collaborative business partnerships with key clients, colleagues and our external agencies
  • At least 10 years experience in a creative design executive lead position, driving creative strategy, development and execution of design
  • Strong leadership,  interpersonal, partnership and influence management skills
  • Highly customer-centric marketer with a deep understanding and appreciation for the human and emotional elements of effective marketing strategy
  • Strong business planning experience driving business and brand strategy across a large, highly matrixed organization
  • Experience providing creative direction across editorial, copy writing, designers and publishers to ensure a creative, target communications plan
  • Experience with Retail marketing within financial services or other fast paced industry
  • Action oriented, proactive, tough-minded attitude are important success attributes as is comfortable interacting with multiple stakeholders to get things done.
