Control System Technology (CST) delivers streamlined and consistent solutions supporting JPMorgan Chase’s Compliance, Controls, and IT Risk agendas, with a focus on stability, delivery, efficiencies and people. The goal of CST is to support Corporate Technology & Risk (CTR) drive to standardization, consistency and simplified JPMorgan Chase architecture that fosters long-term productivity, quality and innovation across the entire enterprise. The disciplines within this organization are Compliance Technology, Oversight & Controls Technology, Legal & e-Discovery, Identity & Access Management, IT Risk & Controls, HR Real Estate & Global Services Technology, and Third Party Risk Management.
 
Key Areas of Focus:
  • Demand management (including business case), budget planning (labor, software, and/or any other cost types), financial controls  and client communication
  • Program / Project benefit control
  • Program management best practices training, project execution and delivery
  • SharePoint, ALM & Clarity dashboard reporting
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Plan, monitor, and control program scope, define program goals and objectives, develop program requirements, develop and manage program architecture, develop program work breakdown structure (for components, deliverables, and activities).
  • Draft end-to-end project plans to track milestones / quality toll gates & delivery timelines to further track and escalate project risks, issues, dependencies, control gaps, and minutes the action items.
  • Articulate risk, issues, budgeting challenges and upcoming project planning summary in a clear and concise manner via weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly reports to stakeholders / executives at all levels.
  • Work with business and release managers to address blockers and gaps, facilitating any inputs required to drive changes and decision making at all levels to prevent slippages to key projects or the program agenda
  • Facilitate Working Group meetings with key stakeholders and be a lead spoke person in status meetings with senior management.
  • Coordinate and partner with LOB and functional stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, etc.) and hold responsible parties accountable.
  • Demonstrate mastery of major components of the key SDLC methodologies, including development of a cost-benefit analysis for projects of a varying size and multiple dependencies in the context of major systems transition.
  • Manage program / project benefits – ensure consistent delivery of benefits throughout project lifecycle through vigilantly monitoring & controlling change management.
  • Ensure / establish governance and program management structure that will adhere to CTR PMO guidelines.
 
  • 10+ years of experience with minimal 6 years as IT Program/Project Manager leading major strategic technology programs/projects within the financial services industry
  • PMP Certified & Big 5 consulting experience in establishing / supporting PMO / CoE within complex programs in global financial institutions is highly preferred with additional experience in process re-engineering; ITIL and LEAN practices would be a plus.
  • Ability to lead teams in a matrix environment consisting of various roles / skill sets / cultural background through thinking strategically & tactically in regards to partnering with cross work stream from Business, Operate & Infrastructure to facilitate robust project planning, scoping, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocating and time bound quality deliverables.
  • Experienced and proven track record in stakeholder management, partnership, team building (enabling a ‘one team’ culture and positive working environment) and program governance across multiple lines of business and functional areas.
  • Ability to resolve conflict while keeping relationships intact through excellent people and relationship skills (gains trust) with strong influence and team building skills in a matrix environment
  • Executive Level Communication (written and verbal)
  • Very heavy SME level knowledge of Project Management Best Practices (Waterfall/Iterative) and Business Analysis tools including Presentation, Word Processing, Spreadsheet & Planning Tools ( MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project & Visio)
  • Ability to act under pressure, resolve conflicts and adjust to a changing environment is a must
  • Flexibility in responding to pressing business needs and an ability to reprioritize to meet new and existing needs
  • Experience with application security, vulnerability risk or controls projects would be a plus.
