CB WLO - MO is a private side utility function supporting multiple lines of business including Corporate Investment Banking (Debt Capital Markets, Global Corporate Bank, Currency and Exchange Markets) and Commercial Banking when JPMorgan acts as bilateral lender and/or Administrative and/or Security Agent on a loan facility. In addition to managing the WLO – MO, this role will provide senior leadership and act as the liaison between various senior business and control leads, along with our Asia Loan Operations team in Bangalore and the other global WLO and local operations groups.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Act as senior contact overseeing teams (TCP MO and Loan Agency) responsible for operational facets of syndicated deal & facility management, loan booking, accounting and investor syndicate management for traditional credit & loan products
  • Establish and maintain partnership with business and ops lead across various operational, LOB, and sub-business groups in order to effectively manage workflow, risk and control issues
  • Identify and drive the implementation of technology initiatives and operational process changes
  • Manage a broad change agenda in a dynamic manner ensuring execution of efficiency initiatives
  • Provide performance management, objective setting and coaching of both direct reports and broader group
  • Participate in project proposals, group objectives, regional discussions; drive strategic direction and vision of the group
Technical Skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate across various levels of stakeholders, locations and groups
  • Excellent organizational and influencing skills to see through and execute change across teams and regions
  • Participate in the broad spectrum of initiatives providing creative viewpoints, insight and suggestions and general group engagement with operational and business partners
  • Acute awareness of operational risks occurring throughout the loan lifecycle
  • The ability to manage a varied workflow is necessary to ensure timely processing and eliminate the possibility of operational errors.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Knowledge of syndicated lending structures, treasury funding and downstream corporate reporting
  • Understanding of underwriting primary and secondary loan trading
  • Strong understanding of varying loan accounting methodology and general p&l booking principals
  • Aptitude to ensure timely group delivery and execution of all day to day group controls and adherence to group and product deadlines
  • Deliver coaching, performance development and identify training needs of the group
  • Ability to self start and lead team agendas in respect to efficiency, productivity and control
  • Keen sense of corporate awareness with an understanding of Investment Banking operations, Front Office business and Corporate support structures
