Global Auction Service Team Lead

Job Description

The Global Supplier Services (GSS) Department of JPMorgan Chase is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented sourcing manager to join the JPMorgan Chase Global Auction Services team.  This role is responsible for managing projects (RFI/RFP/Auctions) that will provide support for Category Sourcing and Lines of Business (LOB) for various technology and corporate categories across the U.S., EMEA and the APAC regions.
Position Description and Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Global Auction Services professionals in delivering Online Events for various technology and corporate categories across the U.S., EMEA and the APAC region
  • Develop and manage the end to end Auction Events that deliver high customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to governance and control programs to ensure business continuity, protect company assets and comply with corporate and regulatory policies  
  • Partner with  Category Sourcing, LOBs, project, asset and finance management teams to ensure contract and financial approvals are adhered to and continually supported
  • Prepare for and manage multiple Reverse Auction Events simultaneously, including scope definition and event setup
  • Ensure that the execution of Online Event engagements are aligned with JPMC policies and procedures, including the Supplier Spend Management Policy and JPMC's Third Party Oversight Program
  • Become familiar with the Global Auction Service Process and Procedures and ensure compliance in the execution of Online Event engagements
  • Provide MI on spend analysis and supplier performance
  • Prepare and present analytical summaries of Auction Events for Category Sourcing and LOB approval and recommend courses of action
  • Interact with global teams in order to create optimum throughput and drive efficiency of the transactions
  • Develop working relationships with internal clients in various business areas; understand their business drivers and requirements for engaging third parties
  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development
  • Ensure adherence to agreed SLA’s
  •  8-10 years of relevant experience in sourcing and sourcing processes, including RFx, eAuction and Scope Build, across multiple commodities such as products (office supplies, MRO, IT equipment), professional services, software, and IT services
  • Knowledge of and experience with Reverse Auctions (Ariba's eRFx experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) at all levels
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills including a consultative approach and conflict resolution
  • Skillful in cross-functional cooperation and client management partnering
  • Excellent time management skills of self and team, including the ability to multitask and complete difficult assignments/deals within defined deadlines
  • SME on sourcing process management and key aspects of the RFI/RFP/RFQ
  • Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers on sourcing requirements and a good understanding of legal contracts and concepts, including service level agreements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Professional designation as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) and /or other professional membership affiliations desired
