Data Center Services (DCS), part of Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI), is defined as the distributed, storage, IP network and Data Center services consumed by applications and enabling infrastructure in the Data Center. Data Center Services consolidate all logical and physical activities performed across Data Center Operations, and most
of Global Network Services and Distributed Technology Services.
In the role of Implementation Lead for DCS-Data Center Operations, you will be responsible to:
Liaise between LOB and GTI technology organizations for Data Center Operations
- Baseline and use KPIs to measure success of engineered solutions and provide feedback to LOB and GTI technology
Organizations for continuous improvement
- Participate in complex, medium or large projects to implement changes to data center architecture
- Lead major projects within their discipline
- Responsible for implementing major changes within their discipline which contribute to the overall success of solutions
and it's ability to meet client and firm needs
- Contribute technical analysis to support the development of business plans
- Identify innovation opportunities within their discipline which result in operational efficiencies
- Take ownership of client issues ensuring appropriate parties are engaged for timely resolution
- Anticipate problems and analyze ways to mitigate the risk
- Articulate the business value and impact of advanced technical and nontechnical information with ease and know when
to seek senior management assistance
- Provide effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor
dialogue
- Project excellent command of business knowledge and has the ability to solicit input from internal and external sources
- Document small-to-medium scale projects and delivers presentations with minimal supervision
- Frequently provide feedback and strategic recommendations to management
- Affect change within sphere of influence and leads development of innovative improvements
- Implement complex medium- to large-scale projects and have an expertise in project management software
- Advanced analytical skills
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years experience providing technical support in a Data Center
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years experience providing technical support for Server based Operating Systems
- Intermediate understanding of SAN technology
- Intermediate understanding of copper and fiber optics standards
- Intermediate knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies
- Intermediate knowledge of LAN and WAN network hardware and software
- Intermediate knowledge of multiple major server hardware vendors
- Intermediate knowledge of power and cooling equipment utilized in data centers
- Intermediate understanding of network security policies
- Advanced understanding of JPMChase Critical Environment standards and policies
- Advanced understanding of JPMChase Security policies
- Advanced understanding of other JPMChase policies
- Advanced understanding of change management procedures
 
Some Project related work is required on weekends and outside of working hours.
