Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm. 
 
Data Center Services (DCS)
 
Data Center Services (DCS) is responsible for the development of Data Center Strategy and Architecture to meet the firm’s compute and storage capacity requirements. DCS is also responsible for the management of Data Center capacity, placement, governance reporting and metrics. DCS is accountable for Global Data Center management, incident support and operations including Moves, Adds, Changes and Cabling. DCS is also responsible for the Global Media management function, providing physical data guardianship of removable media for the Data Center sites.
 
The Data Center Services (DCS) organization, together with Implementation & Platform Deployment (IPD), works to deliver seamless end-to-end Data Center services for the firm-including provisioning of all core infrastructures services (network, storage, compute).
 
Role and Responsibilities
 
This role is part of the Data Center Placement and Capacity Team. The objective of our team is to manage and optimize all physical data center resources (such as power, cooling, space, cabling) and physical asset inventory.
 
The successful candidate will take the role of Provisioning Specialist and be responsible for:
  • Managing and optimizing physical resources (such as power, cooling, space, cabling) for all data centers across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Working with regional and global project teams to understand their requirements, design an implementation in specific data centers and support the project through to completion in required timeframes.
  • Develop ideas and proposals to improve the utilization of our data center footprint and internal processes in collaboration with other DCS teams and manage through to completion.
  • Become a specialist in our firm-wide inventory tools and provide both administrative and process support and improvement.

 

This role reports to the India Data Center Operations Lead and Asia Pacific Data Center Placement and Capacity Lead.

Experience

  • 3 years of business experience in a large enterprise in a technical role.
  • Bachelor degree in a technical discipline, such as Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience in the following related areas is an advantage: data center (electrical systems/power/cooling/cabling/operations, storage (SAN/NAS), server hardware, data center infrastructure management tools (DCIM), process improvement and optimization.

Qualifications

  • Quick learner with strong analytical skills and ability to understand new technical concepts.
  • Good communication, confident to present to a group and manage expectations during projects as well as working with internal engineering teams.
  • Self-starter, organized with ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Language

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
