Core Foundation Services (CFS) delivers measurable business value by providing core technology solutions that meet secure business demand while realizing cost efficiencies. CFS teams work with our Line of Business partners to develop standardized, resilient operating environments and implements through global technology strategies for the Firm's infrastructure. As a member of the APM (Application Performance Management) Engineering team within the CFS space, responsibilities include monitoring of the APM Infrastructure environment which includes dynaTrace and CA Wily Introscope, supporting 4500 combined agents globally.
This role must interface closely with GTI and LOB Operate Team Leads, Application Development/Performance Engineers/Database/Security/Storage/Networking Leads, Unix and Windows technologists outside of CFS.
The role encompasses the following key roles and responsibilities:
  • Engineering, Implementation, Installation, Integration, version upgrade and patch installation of APM applications: dynaTrace and CA Wily Introscope
  • Triage of APM: dynaTrace and CA Wily Introscope monitoring environment events
  • Onboarding of applications (App Server, Web Servers) in APM
  • L2/L3 Support of the APM platforms and associated technologies
  • Solution and process documentation across the firm’s Production environments
  • Oversight of all server hygiene, critical patching, disaster recovery and business continuity validation and remediation
  • Contribution to the development and support of the firms APM platforms and all associated technologies
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience on both Unix (RHEL) and Windows Server Operating Systems engineering. Experience in large, complex environments a benefit
  • Experience on Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as dynaTrace, CA Wily Introscope and appDynamics are essential
  • Experience on Java (Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic, Webmethod), .NET, Web Server (IHS, Apache, IIS)  technologies are essential
  • Unix Shell Scripting: bash, perl are essential
  • Development skills in java and python are highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Database and clustering highly desirable
  • Experience working in a support capacity in a time critical environment
  • Independent and good interpersonal skill.
  • Strong communication both written and verbal and organization skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a complex production and non-production environments and quickly acquire broad knowledge of applications.
  • Self starter with confidence to drive issues through to completion in highly pressured environment
  • Proven methodical approach to problem identification, problem solving and resolution
  • Results driven with the ability to ensure short-term goals are achieved with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Understanding of ITIL framework
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology related discipline.
  • Technical writing and documentation skills.
