JP Morgan Chase has a single Wholesale Bank client profitability solution which includes a flexible database , reporting platform and multiple banker portals.  WCP is leveraged heavily by the Corporate Investment Bank (Investment Bank and Treasury & Securities Services) and the Commercial Bank in support of LOB priorities as well as corporate initiatives such as International Expansion, Global Corporate Bank and top client analytics and reporting.  The data is also leveraged in critical client decision making forums, e.g. Balance Sheet Committee.

 

The Finance Operations Analyst in a Team Lead/Associate position will be responsible for overseeing 300+ data feeds critical to summarize and report client profitability for senior management, individual bankers and finance counterparts globally across our wholesale line of businesses.  The ability to process, publish, monitor, troubleshoot and improve the monthly operational cycle is critical for success. Successful publication occurs monthly by business day 9 and dictates the need to work some weekend and off shift hours during the production cycle. A resource in this position will be leading feed on-boarding project/s while working with line of business partners, legal entity controllers, business and technical counterparts of various GL and product systems globally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain key relationships and partnerships across various business finance, operations and technology partners globally.
  • Oversee 300+ data feeds in order to gather, process and publish firm wide client profitability data each month. Ensure SLAs are met.
  •  
  • Identify, analyze and resolve data quality and processing issues.
  • Identify, analyze and lead various process improvements on a continual basis.
  • Lead end to end feed on-boarding projects and provide regular status to management.
  • Conduct testing of new functional releases aimed at improving the operations cycle.
  • Data mining skills utilizing various report writers, Oracle developer tools, attaching tables via MS Access, manipulating interfaces through VBA, etc. to retrieve data for analysis.
  • Experience with utilizing SQL, SQL Server, MS Access & MS Power-point in assisting an ongoing need to analyze data.
  • Ability to draw conclusions from data analysis and effectively communicate them to management and project team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • 9+ years experience (Mix in Operations and/or MIS related fields)
  • Demonstrated expertise in MS Excel, MS Access, SQL (read and write)
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, Cognos Reporting product
  • Familiarity with finance concepts and banking applications
  • Past experience in Project Management.
  • Excellent People Management experience.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, client -focused
  • Outstanding attention to detail, strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High degree of initiative, self direction, and ability to work independently as well within a team
  • Willing to work in night shift.
  • Strong data mining, problem solving, & analytical skills with ability to summarize findings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
