PEGA Application Developer


As an Application Developer, you will create reusable components for Pega Rules Processor Commander (PRPC) to support multiple Lines of Business. PRPC is a Java-based development toolkit automating work processes across disparate operations areas using an accelerated agile development model. You will be a project team member leading applicable project life-cycle phases including technical requirements, design, construction and integration testing. You will ensure that you adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques, and that all technical documentation is complete and in compliance with company standards. 

 

Responsibilities:       

  • Participate in full life cycle of software development - from gathering requirements to implementation
  • Work with a team of developers on global initiatives
  • Design class structure, data model and application frameworks, leading development and support activities. Unit test developed code and support users during UAT
  • The successful candidate will participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with application quality, coding, UI and Corporate standards, including review alert logs, running pre-flight and PAL
  • Ability to debug and fix as part of the development/support process and should have experience in Integration components (services, connectors, etc), frameworks, reporting, agents, authentication and rule resolution

Skills Required:

  • Minimum 8+ years of strong software development experience
    • Pega PRPC 6 or higher platform experience will be a big plus
    Experience with process methodology, frameworks (TOGAF), development methodologies (Agile, SDLC, and Iterative) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Relational databases and concepts – Oracle SQL, PL/SQL etc.
  • Experience in Java language and J2EE
  • Excellent oral and written communication Skills
  • Highly organized; Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to both business and technology
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to influence and drive proper architecture decisions to meet strategic vision
  • Financial Industry / Operations Experience a plus
