Global Reference Data Operations – Executive Director– Technology & Operations - Re-engineering Projects

Job Description

·         Delivery of Strategic Programmes:  Support and manage the delivery of the Firm’s strategic programmes in a high quality, cost effective, timely and sustainable manner with risks and issues identified, prioritised, escalated and managed in a timely and open fashion.  This includes effective resource management (project / people / technology), and all budgetary and economic elements of delivery. 

·         Development of change capability:  creation and development of standards, tools, process and culture to ensure best in class approach to the delivery of change, from inception to implementation into production.  The successful individual will effect improvement across all aspects of delivery and Target Operating Model.

·         Process Improvement Initiatives: Partner with the Operations Leads to brainstorm, deep-dive,  identify potential opportunities and  drive towards executable solutions, improving controls and delivering cost saves.

·         Focus on Re-engineering  initiatives to drive process efficiencies

·         Introduce Robotics and automate the manual processes

·         Stakeholder Management: The successful individual will be comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels across the firm ensuring that technology delivery is firmly bedded into business drivers.   

·         Attract, Retain and Develop Top Talent: Develop and maintain a world class and productive team. Ensure strong focus on short and long term objectives, training, succession planning, career development, and managing career opportunities  

·         Governance: Work with the GRD Operations & Technology lead to drive and execute the appropriate level of business and technology governance across all elements of the programme.  This includes governance across GRD Operations along with our Risk and Technology Partners.  

·         Effectively manage senior management relationships, develop compelling communication strategy, and utilize resources, outside direct span of control, to undertake certain work

·         Establish tools, metrics and reporting to monitor completion of Programmes / Projects

·         Drive overall project success, measuring performance against established objectives

·         MBA or an advanced degree (or equivalent experience)

·         15+ years Operations / Consulting experience with a top-tier Bank / Management Consulting firm or an internal consulting/corporate strategy team, including 3+ years managerial experience motivating and leading teams

·         Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, with a focus on eliminating bureaucracy

·         Excellent facilitation, project management and consultative skills with strong business acumen

·         Familiarity with a broad range of analytical tools/problem-solving approaches

·         Proven leader with experience in collaborating and negotiating across functions and levels

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Proven ability to influence and impact change

·         Innovative, creative and results-oriented

·         Ability to work independently in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities

·         Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint tools

·         Experience working with senior leaders straddling across Technology, Operations and Strategy a plus
