Agile Lead

Job Description

As a leader with a strong track record of change leadership, you will help lead the agile transformation effort for the Bournemouth campus, helping to drive education, informed consent, adoption, and maturity across technology teams on campus. Accountable to the agile workstream lead for the technology hub, you will specifically lead the Bournemouth transformation by identifying where help is needed and targeting SMEs and other resources at these areas. As the lean agile discipline matures across the wider organisation, you will also provide leadership more broadly as an expert and advocate of lean agile behaviours and practice.

Accordingly, you will exert a breadth of influence across the organisation, helping to shape adoption strategies for teams on campus, whilst ensuring you integrate those efforts with the global teams to whom those campus based teams align. As an individual who understands the importance of behaviours and supporting practices, you will also work closely with our architects, design authorities, and development offices to ensure we proceed in a manner that involves these stakeholders too.

As part of this remit, you will also reach out to the various business lines on campus who may be consumers of agile delivery to brief them and become a trusted advisor on the agile discipline and transformation process.

In addition to building your organisational breadth and reach, you will have specific attributes as below that will help drive the agile model across the hub.
Qualifications

• Experience of organisational transformation to lean and / or agile behaviours and practices.
• A change orientated mindset, showing past evidence of searching for ways to be better and driving that passion across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Strong leadership, showing evidence of taking ownership of problems and driving them to resolution quickly through engagement with disparate stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating an ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders that allows broad leverage of the organisation to resolve issues.
• Evidence of a strong tendency to take action to move work items and issues forward, balanced by a desire to establish a set of baseline facts first.
• Evidence of a focus on learning and development in past roles, i.e. a desire to learn more than just your immediate job responsibilities.
