Business Analyst II - Mortgage Banking - Phoenix

Job Description

    The Solution Center is a critical component to successfully deploy the Mortgage Express application.  This team will be highly integrated with our operations management team and will focus on managing the daily and intraday tactical components of the operations process.  In order to be prepared for the expanded Mortgage Express volume it is critical that Solution Center expand staffing to support all Mortgage Express job families and overall operations. 

    Solution Center will be comprised individuals that oversee and manage the tactical operations for each of the primary job families that Mortgage Express is comprised of.  This position is for one of our job Family managers and will report in thru the Solution Center Manager.  Position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operating activities, including but not limited to managing daily huddles, process performance / productivity & efficiency analysis for each Mortgage Express job family.  Candidate will work closely with the Mortgage Express analytics, reporting and process engineering teams.

    Qualified candidates will be highly analytical with prior experience being demonstrated in a comparable business setting.  Candidates will also need to have a proven track record of successfully working with various levels of management on a daily basis and display examples of successful relationship building.  Prior management experience within Mortgage Operations is recommended but not a requirement for the most highly qualified candidates.

     

  • Bachelors degree in industry related field (advance degree preferred)
  • 3+ years experience in operations management, business process improvement, risk or financial management, loan servicing and/or originations
  • Strong leadership skills with proven track record in assessing and identify critical analytics and or processes required to manage daily tactical operations.  
  • Proven ability to work in fast paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and have the ability to self identify key objectives
  • Self motivated to complete assigned objectives with minimal direction and management interaction
  • Ability to communicate with individuals across multiple disciplines including business managers, analytics, MIS and process engineering
  • Prior experience in Mortgage loan originations and fulfillment, with management or supervisory experience preferred.  Analytical backgrounds will also be considered
  • Ability to effectively communicate analytical requirements to development team
  • Experience with workflow tools desirable
  • Proficiency in use of MSOffice products, i.e. Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
