J.P. As an Applications Developer within the JPMS Technology team you will help ensure that we produce software products that add value to the Wealth Management Business.


Your primary responsibility will include:

  • Architecture, design, development, and maintenance of complete test harness to facilitate automated testing.
  • Follow and promote Agile practices like SCRUM and Business Driven Development.
  • Participate in the continuous delivery pipeline as part of the application development team.
  • Collaborating with Business Analysts and Application Developers in the understanding both the requirements and implementation.
  • Research new technologies, identify and learn best practice, and adapt quickly.
  • Understanding of business processes and work flows.
  • Promoting excellent user experience and system performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Computer Science / Engineering or similar field.
  • 5+ years of Java development experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java technologies including: Core Java 6 and Spring.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, multithreading, object-oriented development, distributed applications, client-server/service oriented architecture.
  • Test Mocking and Junit is preferred.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
  • Business Driven and Test-driven development experience.
  • Knowledge of Financial products (ie Fixed Income, Equities, etc.).
  • Track record of delivering quality products.
  • Financial Services industry experience & understanding of fx and other complex securities.
