Chase is continually innovating and enhancing the capabilities of its browser and mobile App channels; increasing the range and depth of services offered to customers. This requires we continually look for ways to ensure we provide appropriate security for customers, while keeping the authentication controls as “frictionless” for the customer as possible.
Chase is also exploiting our Digital authentication capabilities in other channels (e.g. ATM and Telephone Banking)
Technological developments increasingly offer great potential in improving our ability to authenticate customers (e.g. via biometrics), and to covertly use profiling technologies (e.g. session, device and location), to distinguish genuine customer activity from that of “bad” or compromised identities.
In the role of Product Manager – Digital Authentication and Profiling Controls, you will be responsible for the strategy and design of the authentication and profiling capabilities used across Digital and into other channels, and driving their delivery with our IT Engineering colleagues.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include responsibility for:
  • Developing the strategy and business cases for investment in developing our authentication and profiling controls
  • Consulting with the teams enhancing existing or developing new services, to determine the authentication, and risk profiling controls they will need for their success
  • Understanding the external marketplace including suppliers’ offerings and competitors approaches
  • Interpreting financial crime “attack vectors” and critical gaps in the existing controls, then designing the key mitigating controls
  • Understanding how our customers perceive and experience our controls, and designing how we improve controls to make sure customers feel secure
  • Understanding the development of standards (e.g. FIDO) and of regulatory influences on the development of the Bank’s controls and making we are in track to meet these requirements
  • Deciding how the existing controls will be configured and used for optimum performance
  • Interpreting Bank policy as it affects these controls
  • Driving the initiation of projects and development of business cases for investment to drive the development of our controls
  • Performed a similar role within a financial institution or payment services provider.
  • At least 7 years experience of designing and developing fraud and security controls
  • At least 7 years experience of operating in a Digital or e-Commerce business or channel
  • A high degree of technological awareness (e.g. of developments in mobile banking apps, and potential attack vectors)
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's/MBA degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a dynamic environment
  • Communication Skills - ability to communicate ideas, concepts to business and technical stakeholders
  • A great ability to interpret data and MI and provide robust analysis to support recommendations
