Business Operations Manager-Business Engineering & Technology

Job Description

The Business Engineering & Technology team is responsible for the Line of Business (LOB) Credit Origination Platforms, Systems Development Lifecycle (scope, concept, requirements writing, user acceptance testing, and production support).
 
Business Banking Credit Origination processes over 100,000 loan applications per year used by 2,000 bankers and 1,000 back office roles. Supported platforms include:
  • SmartApp (banker credit application user interface)
  • APSTAR (credit underwriting and post approval platform)
  • Loan Track (banker post approval user interface)
  • Hot Doc’s (customer facing loan document generation platform.
 
As a LOB Operations Manager, you will serve as an individual contributor and key liaison between Business Banking Credit IT (BBIT), business end users and partners. Work with the business to develop business requirements. Work with the development team to ensure that they understand the requirements. Work with training team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted and help develop a change management/training plan. Work to provide relevant test scenarios, scripts, and support user acceptance testing.
 
This is a control related position supporting increased system development capacity that improves the control effectiveness for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Consent Order, Regulatory Commitments, Firm-wide Key Matters, and findings from Audit and Compliance.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the impact of proposed solution across the business and technology.
  • Write business requirements for applications and review business designs to ensure that they meet the processes and business needs as stated in the requirements.
  • Lead small to large projects from start up through completion.
  • Will hold meetings with stakeholders to develop requirements for system enh
  • Translate Business Requirements into UAT Test Plans and Scripts
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of Business Analysis or related business loan experience
  • Business Banking Line of Business experience strongly desired
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Understanding the business needs and processes
  • Ability to consult/confer with the business user, developers and management to obtain creative and productive solutions.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, focusing on attention to detail and timely results - Understanding of project life-cycle and familiarity with technical terminology
  • Ability to jump into projects/initiatives mid-stream and ensure a successful solution/resolution
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills; both written and oral - Ability to write business requirements documents for applications enhancements
  • Experience working in a geographically diverse team a strong plus
  • Team Player – Ability to work with others, across business and/or functional lines
  • Experience in applications testing is preferred; experience in leading testing is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office toolset – knowledge creating and maintaining documents
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
