Associate – Knowledge Management Specialist

Job Description

DESCRIPTION: Create a book of statistics about the business and its products each quarter, which involves calculation of client numbers, headcount, and custody processing information, as well as working with other product areas to source data and apply correct methodology to be able to present them in an organized manner. Serve as a key administrator and point of contact for the maintenance, enhancement and reporting functions of our tools including: the knowledge-base, the sales material delivery platform, and the workflow tool - which is utilized by the Group for resourcing, reporting and project management. Provide and interpret reports on usage, content, and backups across all three platforms to the team, group and the wider business as required. Calculate, source and analyze statistics required by clients in sales documentation. Review and analyze proposals and presentations to determine key client issues/”hot buttons” by segment and implement any required changes to knowledge-base content, as required. Solicit information from subject matter experts and use this information to write creative, persuasive responses that differentiate the firm and its products and services in a positive manner. Partner with subject matter experts to add or update the knowledge-base, with new responses as products are enhanced or as the business changes. Partner with subject matter experts to conduct periodic end-to-end content reviews of responses in the knowledge-base to ensure changes in business, value proposition, regulatory environment, staff, and locations, are correctly captured. Engage senior management, sales, client management and subject matter experts to gather, upload and maintain documents covering sales collateral, sales analytics, client intelligence, market intelligence, product information, headlines, news & calendars, on the global business facing sales material delivery platform.  No direct reports, and no managerial duties.  Individual contributor level role only.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or related field

 

Experience: 4 years of work experience in job offered or 4 years of work experience in a financial analyst-related occupation

 

Special skills: Experience must include: 1. Management of a complex and large-scale knowledge-base (in excess of 20,000 records across multiple libraries), including creating structures, new records, editing, maintaining metadata, archiving, running detailed reports on user/record activity and generating content review packages for stakeholders; 2. Advanced knowledge of Excel, such as pivot tables and vlookup, for use in calculation of complex statistics;  3. Utilizing strong business writing skills (including an understanding of British and American English) to write creative, accurate and persuasive sales material responses that differentiate the firm and its products and services in a positive manner; 4. Applying the understanding of securities services industry and products in order to update a knowledge-base accurately (filing and editing), recognize and incorporate regional/regulatory nuances, changes in business, value proposition, staff, and locations, as well as enable effective engagement with stakeholders; 5. Applying analytical capabilities to generate insights from raw, unprocessed information to create reports for management’s decision making; and 6. Conducting small and large training sessions in person and via screen-share, utilizing strong, effective verbal and written business communication skills, with all levels of management on how to use a sales material delivery platform and understand/use/access the business statistics.
