Business Loan Coordinator - Business Banking Operations - Houston, TX

Job Description

This Credit Operations Sr. Specialist I (Business Loan Coordinator) position will be part of the Credit Service Center Loan Documentation team within Business Banking Operations.  This role requires a loan documentation expert that serves as liaison between Underwriting and the Banker with respect to loan documentation, collateral review,  and Small Business Administration (SBA) guidelines (if applicable).  The Specialist is responsible for appropriate vendor due diligence, including commercial and residential real estate title work and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) searches, and preparation of SBA or non-SBA loan documentation for new, renewal and modified business loans. The Specialist will independently identify and manage vendor and documentation risk to the bank.
 
Shift/Schedule:  The primary schedule for this position will be 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday- Friday.  However, candidates should be flexible to work a rotating schedule of 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (rotating every few weeks, based on business needs).
  • 2+ years of experience preparing commercial loan, SBA, or mortgage loan documents required
  • Experience with due diligence related to loans is preferred 
  • Experience with commercial real estate, title work, surveys, construction lending & loan documentation and the laws and regulations affecting documentation and perfection of collateral is preferred   
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial loan products, business loan sales and underwriting processes is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and PC skills
  • Able to communicate well and work independently in a high volume, production-oriented environment.
  • College degree, paralegal, or equivalent work experience.
