Commercial Banking - Client Relationship Manager (Corporate Client Banking), Chicago, IL

Job Description

As a Client Relationship Manager you will serve as the primary point of contact for a designated portfolio of clients, generally with annual non lending revenue ranging from $250,000 to $2.5 million.  Responsible for service and account management needs of designated high tier middle market banking clients utilizing lending depository and treasury products.  Works independently with clients to understand their business needs and associated banking needs.  Promote appropriate bank products and receive mandate from client to implement those products, including the coordination of core product pricing.  You will be authorized to make exceptions to guidelines or policies in the absence of client executives.  You will also act as a subject matter expert on TS products and will be a resource for CSP and Sr CSP's for those products.  Additional responsibilities include:
  • Facilitate and coordinate for core products (ACH, Positive Pay)
  • Identify opportunities to promote and receive mandate to implement products
  • Independently review client trends/issues, proactively recommend solutions tailored to clients needs and provide high quality, high touch service to Commercial clients.
  • Responsible for assisting the client executive in achieving incremental revenue targets for non credit products
  • Proactively work to determine service improvements and solicit client input and feedback on service satisfaction
  • Conduct annual relationship reviews with clients within the portfolio
  • Conduct monthly client reviews with Client Service Professional, ACSM and Treasury Sales Officer
  • Analyze and recommend appropriate service options for specialized customer needs.
  • Identify potential customer-level fraud exposure and recommend appropriate products to mitigate risk.
  • Support client service professionals when needed in handling the day to day client activities/requests for relationships
  • Serve as a resource by providing assistance in the resolution of commercial customer's complex inquiries and issues
  • Capable of monitoring, reviewing and approving/declining client refunds/adjustments within established empowerment levels
  • Research, follow up and resolve client inquiries/problems through interaction with clients, bankers, product partners, branch operations and other staff in a timely and professional manner
  • Negotiating legal documents related to Blocked Account Agreements
  • Bachelors degree or minimum 8 year equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify credit opportunities
  • Ability to identify cash management product needs
  • Knowledge of JPMorgan Commercial Bank and other key operating areas within the firm
  • An evidenced and accomplished history of independent decision making and problem solving
  • Ability to make high dollar, high impact decisions independently without need for further escalation, and ability to accept responsibility for those decisions
  • Extensive knowledge of deposit and treasury products, payment services, regulatory requirements (ie. KYC, documentation) and procedures related to them
  • Thorough knowledge of financial exposure and operational risk related to transactions associated with bank products and services, (ie. products requiring credit approval, blocked account agreements)
  • Ability to negotiate legal document exceptions both internal and external
  • Ability to understand complex customer structures, (ie. opportunity funds, REITS)
  • Ability to perform in-depth account analysis reviews, perform annual reviews with clients and be able to identify opportunities for both the bank and the client
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Comfortable with independent client calling
  • Ability to assist with client prospecting and identify opportunities
  • Ability to retain and grow the real estate deposit portfolio
