As a member of the Consumer Banking & CWM Finance team you will be responsible for providing business and financial support for the Region. This is one of 5 positions that were created through the integration of the CB and CWM regional business management teams specifically supporting the state of California & Colorado. Specific activities & responsibilities include: regional financial analysis, implementation of key strategic initiatives in the field (e.g., new Branch Operating Model), preparation of all key business reviews and management meetings, review of branch/client coverage model, real estate and Chase Private Client roll out, as well as supporting RMs and RDs across all day to day needs. In essence, each regional team leader is the RMs & RDs “trusted advisors” and CFOs.
 
Each business management team leader is supporting hundreds of Chase retail branches, dozens of billions of Deposit and Investment balances, and thousands of client facing employees. Specifically, each team provides analytical and implementation support to 2-3 Regional Directors (RD). RDs are 605 roles, 2 levels down from the Consumer Bank CEO), as well as 60 - 65 Market Director Banking (MD-B) (604 positions) and 20-25 Market Directors – Wealth Management (MD-W) (604 positions).
 
The job is responsible for managing a team of Business Analysts. You will perform financial analysis on Balance Sheets and Income Statements along with other statistical and productivity data to support profitable decision making.  Must be able to regularly interface with peers and senior level field managers to answer questions, advise, present and interpret financial and business information. You will use business knowledge and independent decision making to solve business and financial issues.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • MBA in Business Administration preferred
  • Previous Management experience preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years of Banking or Financial Services experience preferred
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence and advise.
  • A keen business acumen and the ability to tell the compelling story from the information.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of financial statements, concepts and principles - Balance Sheet, Net Interest Margin, Fee Income and Noninterest Expense. Must be able to link drivers and results to activities.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Proficiency in computer navigation and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including good judgment and decision making abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively in a team environment with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations
  • Independent / problem solving / creative thinking
