This position reports to the Consumer and Business Banking CFO to support both their fellow finance team members as well as extensive involvement with other partners in Consumer Banking Field Leadership, Chase Wealth Management,  Retail Sales Branch Admin, HR, and Technology to support the reporting and MIS needs of the business in support of the overall goals of the business.  In particular the Head would be responsible for:
  • The design, content, monthly production and support of the Branch and Field Management Scorecards around which the entire branch and field management organization’s performance is evaluated.  The Scorecard is the primary basis for determining annual incentive awards for Branch, Market and Regional Managers.   In addition, it forms the basis for regular regional and market-level Business Reviews.   The Head will oversee the monthly and annual releases of the Scorecard, which includes directing discussions with the technology support groups and working with partners to prioritize enhancements, develop scope and project plans, validate results and resolve issues.
  • The design, content, monthly production and support of all field reporting for Chase Wealth Management, including playing an integral role in supporting the CWM Compensation team and developing ad hoc decision making analytics for senior management.   Reporting includes RD/MD Scorecards, Sales, AUM, Net New Money Bonus, Production, ACATs and ad hoc reports.
  • Interact with senior management by performing ad-hoc analysis, creating presentation materials and executing requests that support Retail Banking and CWM objectives and strategies. Examples include: client segmentation, client migration, segment performance analyses, and client engagement.
  • Maintain customer profitability database and work with finance and other partners to improve its accuracy,  reliability, and availability
  • Lead project teams in the creation and implementation of new reporting, business requirements, new features and/or processes designed to support overall business objectives. Past projects / topics have included Net New Money definition and customer profitability modeling  
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve the quality, content and format of the field reports and tools (including Branch Scorecard); includes proactive interaction with other areas (e.g., Sales, Metrics & Insights, Incentives, Technology, Training) to determine business needs, build requirements and implement solutions into the monthly/weekly processes
  • Analyze, identify and communicate key drivers of performance including significant monthly variances in business performance
  • Provide subject matter expertise/support on Field compensation
  • Decision Field exception requests
  • Review and respond to Field feedback, comments and questions
  • Develop high-quality processes, operational and technology controls
  • Operate the team with increasing efficiency
  • Build stimulating environment for the team supporting career development  
The head of the team will be located in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, MIS or an applicable discipline. MBA preferred
  • 10-15+ years work experience in Finance, Technology/Operations, and / or Management reporting
  • Technical background with experience in management reporting; Fluency in IT infrastructure and software, particularly as it relates to database management. 
  • Strong leader who is capable of managing multiple larger projects as well as large team, overseeing the work prioritization and development initiatives of multiple technology teams, managing websites content and development as well as the change agenda for branches and Field Management
  • Ability to command respect with all levels and to influence others outside direct reporting structure
  • Strong analytic and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Organized self-starter with ability to effectively operate in a team environment
  • Ability to rapidly transition from conceptual to practical application
