Regulatory Control Operations (RCO)

 

Regulatory Control Operations (RCO), which is aligned under Consumer and Community Banking, provides a wide range of global operational support and services for retail, commercial, treasury, asset wealth management and credit card customers.

 

Court Orders and Levies (COAL)

 

COAL processes Asset-Based Orders served on JP Morgan Chase by restraining customers’ funds and other assets held by the bank.  The court system/government agencies issue a variety of orders to collect on debts or money judgments based on statutory terms and procedures.  Money judgments are the result of a lawsuit or other debt default process where a judge or jury find in favor of the plaintiff (third-party) and award damages from the defendant (JPMC customer).  Government agencies will also issue levies ordering asset restraint for child support, delinquent taxes or other customer defaulted debts. Law enforcement will seek to restrain or seize assets for violation

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The Business Analysis and Reporting family includes roles related to data gathering, analysis and reporting.  Individuals work directly with data and information, creating meaningful analyses, reports and management presentations in support of client, business unit or function activities and performance.  Types of analysis and reporting may include: quality review, workflow analysis, process improvement, regular business or client reporting, budget management, financial reporting and/or a variety of other function specific purposes. 

 

As a Business Analysis and Reporting Specialist you will:

 

·         Interpret data and analysis and makes policy changes and/or other business decisions

·         Prepare financial budgeting, billing and business planning activities

·         Gathers data and prepares data for business analysis, reporting, trend analysis or forecasting decisions

·         Develop decisions based on analysis gathered

·         Ensure accuracy of data and assists with problem resolution 

 

Strategically

  • Work with business management to identify areas of opportunity within COAL to leverage analytics.
  • Build advanced analytical capabilities to improve business decisions and actions within CCS. 
  • Harvest data to create information that enables differentiation of service and products. 
  • Provide proactive, real-time analytics to anticipate and enhance the customer’s experience and decision-making capabilities. 

 

Tactically

  • Leveraging data mining, data manipulation, analytics, and SAS skills to solve business problems, create opportunities, and identify potential analytic strategies.
  • Translating high-level operational business needs into appropriate intermediate or complex analysis - design analysis to be actionable.
  • Implementing analytical initiatives that deliver tangible process, product, people and/or technology improvements.
  • Optimizing business results and client satisfaction through advanced research and analytic tools and techniques.
  • Pursuing opportunities where analytics can drive significant operating outcomes - where different decisions should be made and/or where meaningful efficiencies exist.
  • Understanding the cost-benefit relationship between solution sophistication and practicality and striving to produce the fastest and most accurate results.
  • Articulating how the impact of the research connects to business priorities. 
  • Presenting recommendations to management and business partners (including business implications) and determining how to best summarize and visualize the results.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience leveraging analytics and data mining to deliver tangible business improvements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science). 
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical and data mining technical tools (e.g., SAS MF or PC based, SPSS, STATA, SQL, Business Objects, Brio) for purposes of conducting analysis to drive business decisions.
  • Banking experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge and/or experience using various statistical, forecasting, and predictive modeling methods a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to summarize findings into concise high level points geared towards the audience and visually depict key data and findings
  • Demonstrated ability to interface positively with other departments, colleagues, senior management and external customers is required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy - proven ability to produce quality results timely
