Training Officer I - Branch Operations Training - Seattle, WA

Job Description

  • Facilitates classroom training
  • Learns new programs as needed to meet business needs and facilitates new content under supervision
  • Demonstrates foundational facilitation skills using a variety of training methods
  • Facilitates small and large group discussions based on curriculum design and delivery method
  • Reacts to learning needs of participants
  • Prepares classroom materials and sets up room prior to class; closes rosters and secures training facility
  • Documents, evaluates, coaches and counsels trainees on performance
  • Completes administrative documentation as required
  • Maintains proper inventory of supplies
  • Stays current and adapts easily to changes in course content, policies and procedures and regulations
  • Uses good judgment and decision making for moderately complex issues that arise on a daily basis
  • Spends majority of time in classroom facilitating
  • Uses advanced training methodologies such as virtual delivery
  • Demonstrates advanced facilitation skills and adult learning theory techniques
  • Readily able to assess participants understanding and quickly react to the learning needs of  participants; incorporates the use of second level questions to tie discussion back to learning objectives
  • Quickly learns and delivers unfamiliar topics with minimal notice or preparation time to meet business needs
  • Cross trained in two or more topics and is viewed as an expert in content
  • Coaches and counsels trainees on performance through observations in the line of business
  • Advanced ability to assess whether trainee will meet standards to successfully complete the training programs
  • Partners with business clients and HR business partners to address performance concerns and ensure consistent communication
  • May participate on project teams to support project goals

Travel approximately 25% minimum.

  • 1 - 3 years line of business, or relevant experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to assess skills of class participants.
  • Organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to be flexible in reacting and adapting quickly to changes
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Able to demonstrate coaching skills in all forms of communication.
  • Demonstrates outstanding presentation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional demeanor. 
  • Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
  • Ability to travel when needed.  
  • Flexible with training dates.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in function related discipline, or equivalent experience.
