CCB Data Management - Business Analyst

Job Description

This Business Analysis role within CCB Data Management’s Planning and Process team and will be accountable for business analysis and business requirements for all application delivery projects as well as major process implementation initiatives.  The Data Management team supports all CCB LOBs and is comprised of ~165 staff members leveraging a suite of core applications to support its business processes. While the team, tools and processes exist, they are very new and the majority of business analysis work is being performed by subject matter experts.  This role is an opportunity for a passionate business analyst to work both as a traditional business analyst and as an expert on business analysis to establish best practice and improve our business analysis operating model as we seek to transition from startup mode to one of efficient delivery of cross-product enhancements in partnership with technology. 
 
The successful candidate will need to be an experienced thought leader in business analysis who can partner across teams (application/process owners, technology, readiness, training, UAT and others) to both provide thought leadership in the discipline of business analysis overall and to drive the delivery of quality software delivery lifecycle work products for key scope items.
 
 
Responsibilities and Activities:
  • Partner with user community to identify enhancements and drive MDR enhancements from a business requirements perspective which could include metadata import, presentation and extraction perspectives; ensuring enhancement requirements are accurately specified
  • Work collaboratively  with stakeholders in the  identification, creation, socialization and enforcement of  MDR process, policies and standards; align Repository policies and standards with CCB Metadata Management effort as appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders in the creation, maintenance and delivery of integrated reference materials which support the various MDR user communities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business related discipline or equivalent work/training preferred
  • Solid understanding of metadata with experience with at least one Metadata Repository product

  • Strong Interpersonal skill; Ability to successfully influence and motivate cross-functional teams without direct control
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Work under minimum direction and use independent judgment in decision-making
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
  • Knowledge of the PDF and related deliverables is preferred but not required
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
