JPMorgan Chase’s Commercial Banking serves more than 25,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. We also offer expertise in various industries including entertainment, healthcare, energy, technology, and specialty retail.
The Middle Market business of the Commercial Bank focuses on clients and prospects with annual sales between $20 and $500 million. The employee population is approximately 1,600 people, including Bankers, Underwriters, and Client Service staff, in approximately 100 markets across the US. The team offers financial advice, credit and risk management, liquidity and cash management, and investment banking products and services to the clients.
Reporting to the market manager, this position is responsible for leading our business development efforts in Middle Market banking throughout the city and surrounding area. We provide solutions to clients and prospects in all industries.
As a Business Development Executive, your primary role will be to grow the business through client acquisition within this market. This is accomplished by focusing on the delivery of a value proposition to our prospects in order to convert them to clients so that we can help them reach their goals and mutually maximize our revenues over the life of the relationship. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying prospects and introducing our banking team, credit staff and other product partners as appropriate. You will be a fully experienced, qualified business developer capable of independent activity, with excellent partnership and marketing skills. You should have proven client relationship skills, as well as extensive product knowledge, technical expertise and strong transaction execution skills.
- Partner closely with Banking, Credit and Service partners in the market, as well as with Treasury Sales, Asset Management, and IB colleagues in order to introduce our prospects to our product capabilities.
- Drive top line revenues while maximizing efficiency for the business, with a keen eye towards risk mitigation and compliance.
- Serve as mentor and coach to banking team to lead market prospecting activities. This may include cross-selling of existing clients when appropriate.
- Success will be measured by your effectiveness in many marketing areas, including but not limited to: calling activity, proposal generation, revenue generation, risk mitigation, ability to build successful relationships with centers of influence, and propensity to help build the franchise for the long term.
