The Data Management & Analytics (DM&A) organization is responsible for building the strategic, analytic data warehouse for Chase Financial Services and managing the Integrated Consumer Data Warehouse (ICDW) , Consumer Data Hub (Info1) , and legacy Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) data warehouses.  DM&A also provides direction for large data warehouses across the firm.
 
Responsibilities for the Application Development Lead include the following:
  • Proactively engage with the project stake-holders and understand requirements.
  • Decompose requirements into project specific plans
  • Perform data analysis on source systems, data warehouse subject areas, and reporting data structures.
  • Define project prioritization along road maps, provide scoping/estimation, and manage demand intake.
  • Leading data modeling discussions
  • Assisting in setting technical direction for data within the organization
  • Guiding technical decisions to support long term strategy around core consumer data model.
  • Define/maintain application specific solution designs that align to target state data ecosystem architectures, including viable alternatives with value propositions / trade-offs.
  • Assist with defining data model development methodologies, principles, standards, and governance considering People and Process optimization aspects.
  • Ensure data quality within the ecosystem, by aligning to guidelines, standards, and procedures.
  • Establish standards around flexibility of the data model to ensure deviations are within established guard rails.

 

  • Ten or more years of experience in data modeling and design, coupled with strong knowledge of end-to-end data warehouse development life cycle (data integration, logical and physical modeling, and data delivery) supporting enterprise analytics and BI solutions.
  • Ten or more years of enterprise level data design and development
  • Hands on experience with modeling tool such as (but not limited to) ERWIN
  • Hands on experience with Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) and NoSQL database technologies used in modern data warehouse architectures supporting Discovery Analytics and BI.
  • Past experience with ETL technology

Preferred Skills

  • Functional knowledge/experience of the Consumer Banking/Financial Services Industry.
  • SAS experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using technology and/or integrating diverse user systems
