Business Analyst II

Job Description

The Reporting Analyst role will report into the Fraud, Compliance Operations & Investigations (FCOI) Controls and Business Management Reporting Team.  The FCOI Reporting team is responsible for production and analysis of reports/metrics in support of FCOI operations. 
The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining report inventory, report recertification activities, performing business analysis, and presentations for various level of management within FCOI while adhering to stringent quality controls.  They will support the reporting team in data management initiatives related to data quality, meta data and data integration, data modeling and mapping.
 In addition, they will document policies, procedures and supporting documentation associated with existing reports.
Required Skills:
  • Exceptional communication skills including oral, written and presentation; ability to communicate and present information tailored to different audiences
  • Extensive experience in developing presentations for senior management consumption
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with proven ability to prioritize and efficiently complete assignments while maintaining high quality
  • Ability to partner with various functions and partners (internal and external to FCOI) to influence positive outcome and achieve results
  • Ability to develop and deliver sustainable reporting solutions based on defined business needs
  • Ability to collect and analyze data for reporting and/or performance (trend) analysis
  • Ability to perform quality checks of production reports to ensure stringent controls are being adhered to
  • Ability to evaluate business needs, requirements and translate into recommended solutions; evaluate existing solutions and how they can be leveraged or enhanced to support new requirements as an alternative to implementing a new solution.
  • Preparing and evaluating financial business plans, capacity models and assisting with annual budget preparation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the usage of pivots, macros, vlookups, and other logic functions to mine and analyze data
  • Ability to understand complex problems while presenting them in simple terms and identify viable solutions
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Strong financial acumen in understanding
  • Ability to monitor and report to management on the status of departmental projects: Anticipate and identify issues that could inhibit achieving the project goals and objectives, and implement corrective actions and mitigation strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Candidate Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field i.e., Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in data mining and analysis, report development, and development of  executive presentations.
Candidate Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Services or similar industry
  • 3+  years relevant work experience in a business analyst /reporting analyst role
Technical Skills:
  • Required advanced Microsoft Access
  • Required advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Required advanced Microsoft Power Point
  • Working Knowledge of SharePoint
