Corporate Development: – The Corporate Development team for Card Services and Commerce Solutions work closely with the executive teams in the Card and Commerce Solutions businesses as well as with partners in the Consumer Bank and across Consumer and Community Banking, to bring all of our issuing and acquiring assets together with the aim to deliver even greater value to our clients. This team also focuses on co-brand renewals.
Strategic Alliances and Loyalty Solutions: - As both a card issuer and merchant services provider, Chase has assets that cannot be matched by many of our competitors. Our Strategic Alliances and Loyalty Solutions team is using those assets to establish partnerships with retailers, service providers and technology firms to create new reasons for customers to choose Chase for all their payment needs. At the same time, Chase is collaborating across our businesses to develop, expand and manage our products and services to drive stronger loyalty and usage of our product offerings.  
Responsibilities include: 
  • The strategic development and ongoing management and of a complex compliance program for Corporate Development, Strategic Alliances and Loyalty Solutions.
  • Provide expert advice to the business to ensure that new strategic alliances and corporate development initiatives meet both the letter and spirit of the law.
  • The candidate will work closely with the team to ensure the appropriate oversight and guidance is provided for new deals and relationships with third parties.
  • Work across the businesses and Compliance organization to ensure that relevant parties are apprised of the developments in this space and key Compliance Risks have been accounted for.
  • Facilitate the formal review of initiatives from a Compliance perspective through the J.P Morgan Chase New Business Initiative Approval process.
  • Monitor existing relationships for Compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.       
This position reports to the Chief Compliance Officer for Card Services in Consumer and Community Banking.
  • 7+ years relevant regulatory compliance and or legal experience
  • Strong knowledge of the payment processing industry and card business
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and the ability to translate those requirements into practical solutions for the business.
  • Experience with
  • Ability to implement and administer corporate-wide compliance programs and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in close partnership with others in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Risk and Controls as a team player.
  • Ability to interact with, presents to, and partner with executive and senior business management and potential clients and partners.
  • Ability to interface with regulators.
