Mortgage Banking Divisional Operations Relationship Manager, Cleveland, OH

Job Description

As a Divisional Operations Relationship Manager you will:

 

  • Lead and Manage a regional team of 20 individuals dedicated to serving the needs of our approved correspondents
  • Maintain production levels with file accuracy on all Agency, Non Agency, and FHA programs in accordance with policies and procedure
  • Build strong lasting business relationships with correspondent lenders
  • Partner with all internal correspondent departments
  • Work directly on counterparty issues with one of the three Correspondent Sales Divisions (Division Manager and a team of approximately 10 Account Executives)
  • Serve as the senior escalation point of contact for both the counterparties under management as well as SR Management
  • Lead regularly scheduled training / trending meetings with correspondents under management
  • Responsible for overall customer satisfaction
  • Provide customer feedback and propose solutions to SR Management Internally
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing communication to correspondents
  • Review of Underwriting, Compliance and Funding conditions to ensure proper suspense clearing
  • Review complex files
  • Make complex business decisions within authority
  • Manage entire suspense pipeline, prioritizing appropriately
  • Address any compliance / unsalable issues
  • Participate in monthly business review on performance of team/division
  • Hold regular team meetings to ensure strong communication of policies, events, etc.
  • Ensure written performance appraisals are completed and administered on time
  • Manage to Chase Attendance policy, maintain and track absenteeism and punctuality of your department.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Mortgage Banking, including Agency, Non Agency and Government programs
  • Minimum 5 years Management Experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in either Underwriting or Compliance capacity
  • Working knowledge of TRID
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Strong Understanding of Underwriting, Compliance, and Funding
  • Excellent Customer Relationship skills
  • Excellent Communication and organization skills
  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Excellent Negotiation skills
