MB Closing Coordinator - Jacksonville, FL

Job Description

Production Operations supports Mortgage Banking Originations by facilitating the transition of a loan to closure. The Purchase Closing Coordinator works with third party agencies to facilitate a successful close of a purchase and/or refinance loan.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance)
  • Works with non-managed title companies to obtain wire instructions, potentially setting up their ability to obtain closing documents via secured web application.
  • Informs the non-managed title companies about the Chase procedures and expectations for loan closings and funding loan transactions.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation has been collected and is acceptable to complete the loan transaction.
  • Updates the system of record and works daily priorities
  •  Experience with purchase transactions preferred.
  • Ability to research and understand the loan process.
  • Quickly learns multi-step processes and follows them through.
  • Basic office skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year mortgage processing, underwriting or closing experience with direct customer or real estate agent service experience preferred.
  • Able to build relationships quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effectively prioritizes workload with the ability to solve problems based on priority.
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail.
  • Understands and can explain loan requirements as listed on the closing instructions.
