Commercial Banking - Business Operations Analyst

Job Description

Commercial Banking (CB) delivers extensive industry knowledge, local expertise and dedicated service to more than 24,000 global clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions and not-for-profit organizations along with nearly 35,000 real estate investors/owners.   
The Business Operations Analyst will join a global Data & Business Architecture (DNA) group, building senior manager reporting & analysis that directly supports the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Risk Officer of Commercial Banking.  This is a high-visibility role, focused on operational metrics that are used to optimize CB’s performance in efficiency, client experience, and quality control across more than 4,000 CB Risk & Operations employees.  The successful candidate will bring strong data analysis skills, exceptional attention to detail & follow-through, and commitment to delivering results in fast-paced executive support environment.
The final officer title and job grade is at the discretion of the firm and will be discussed at the time of offer.  It may be different than what is listed on the requisition based on candidate experience level. 

Primary Responsibilities
    • Manage a book of work aligned with key CAO data initiatives such as the targeted expansion of $ billions in pledged collateral to the federal reserve (Borrower in Custody Program), time study and capacity planning initiatives, employee scorecards (e.g. AML/KYC Banker & Officer Scorecards), and other programs at executive direction
    • Prepare targeted EMR & QBR content, incorporating key data program updates for CB CEO, CAO, and CFO review   
    • Participate in working sessions and metrics review meetings with global managers, looking for ways to continually simplify, identify trends, and add value to the management reporting cycle
    • Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to process improvement analysis, management reporting and “what-if” scenario modeling
    • 2-4 years of total experience within MIS, Operations, and/or Management Consulting roles.  Completion of a Corporate Analyst Development Program strongly preferred
    • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality, senior manager-level reporting and analysis from diverse, complex data sources.  Attention to detail a must with focus on executive quality presentation 
    • Excellent communication, project management, and client partnership ability 
    • Advanced-level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, VBA, PowerPoint)  
    • Preferred: knowledge of data warehousing concepts and exposure to one or more Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms: SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Tableau , Analysis Services (SSAS), Qlikview, Business Objects, SAS, Crystal, R, SQL/Oracle/Teradata, etc 
    • BS/BA required; quantitative focus preferred
