Business Development Manager - Dealer Commercial Services

Job Description

As a Business Development Executive for Chase Auto Finance, Dealer Commercial Services Division, (as an individual contributor), you will be responsible for developing and executing the DCS business plan for the national and large regional dealer groups within the assigned region.  The goal of the BDE is to increase our loan commitments and deliver all JPMC products and services to your assigned relationship groups in the market. 
 
  • BDE’s will have responsibility for approximately 75 large dealer group prospects within each region and will work with bankers and district managers to convert these prospects to Chase clients.  The daily management and maintenance of the relationship once closed will remain with Region Bankers, but  the BDE will maintain a senior  role in the relationships they cultivate.

 

  • As the Sales cycle progresses to proposal issuance and negotiation, the BDE will work in conjunction with the Region Bankers (and Regional and District Managers) to negotiate, close and on board prospective clients.  However, Region Bankers will be responsible for on going client maintenance for all client relationships.
     
  • Coordinate the execution of a focused sales and relationship management plan for Dealer Commercial Services to grow our commitments as well as deepen the overall relationships with high valued prospects.
     
  • Cultivate and develop cross-sell opportunities for the entire JPMorgan Chase & Co. product portfolio.
     
  • Assist in the development and execution of national & regional strategies targeted at large Dealer Groups in coordination with Regional Sales & Credit Executives. 
 
  • Maintain an interpersonal relationship with the key decision makers of these top dealer groups and support the on going relationship management strategies (for on boarded clients) while also integrating CAF Senior Management and Regional Management as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have ten years of commercial lending relationship management experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business, excellent communication skills, proven business development capability, and preferably some management background. Position will be based in each region.
  • Typically 10 to 12 years in commercial lending relationship management
  • Knowledge or direct experience in the auto finance industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Strong management skills 
  • Excellent communication skills are critical
  • Business Development skills are essential
  • Formal Commercial Credit Training
  • Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed goal
