Technology Infrastructure Strategy & Transformation Team Manager

Job Description

Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services across then firm. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
The Transformation Management team acts as an internal consultant, partnering with senior management to deliver on the priority objectives for the year.  The group is responsible for developing and leading initiatives that deliver high impact results that transform the business performance and operation through organizational design changes, process re-engineering, change management and execution.  The team has established a strong track record and there is now a need to build further leadership and delivery capability to meet the team’s increasing agenda, remit and demands.
Key Responsibilities to Include:
  • Understanding current organizational capability and changing business needs and determining tactical and longer term strategic interventions to the organization to deliver against these needs
  • Identifying and exposing weaknesses, gaps and opportunities for improvement across the organization
  • Able to translate findings into simple, compelling arguments for change that are grounded and supported with data
  • Able to create a compelling case for change and influence the senior most levels of the organization to support execution of change
  • Able to envision the interlinks between organizational design, structure, processes, leadership and technology and determine how to make the components work more effectively as part of the whole
  • Leveraging the organization to execute against recommendations & plans by overcoming barriers and resistance
  • Constantly reviewing impact and execution to continuously improve ability to deliver change
  • Transfer skills and knowledge into organization to ingrain change within culture
  • Manage communications throughout project across all levels of organization
  • Able to build relationships with a long term view
The Transformation manager must be able to impact the organization not only through their influencing & leadership skills, but by taking personal ownership for the delivery of measurable results.  They must also exhibit the following qualities:
  • Track record of influencing & challenging the status quo
  • Strong visioning capability as well as superior program execution skills
  • Ability to forge strong relationships and build a wide network throughout the firm
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven history of successful large organizational change implementation and execution 
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage multiple inter dependent programs
  • 10+ years experience in one of following areas: management consulting, process improvement, project management
  • Numerically grounded degree from an accredited, high quality institution
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in process re-engineering efforts, complex project delivery, organizational change best practices (ITIL, Six Sigma, PRINCE etc.)
