Corporate & Investment Bank - Compliance – FICC Advisory Compliance Officer - Vice President - London

Job Description

The Markets Compliance Team comprises of 30 professionals and is based on the London Equities, Fixed Income and Commodities Trading Floors. The Team is responsible for providing real-time advice, policy and training on regulatory matters to the predominantly London-based EMEA Markets businesses. The Team forms part of the Compliance Department which covers JPMorgan’s Corporate and Investment Banking, Security Services and Private Banking businesses in the EMEA region.
 
The Team is recruiting for an experienced, high calibre ED level individual to join the FICC (fixed income, currencies and commodities) Compliance Advisory team, providing primary advisory support and relationship management specifically to the London based Macro Trading business (i.e. Currencies& Emerging Markets and Interest Rates) and correlating sales functions. This is one of the leading EMEA Fixed Income businesses and provides a range of investment banking services to institutional and corporate clients.
Qualifications
 
The successful candidate should have good experience of foreign exchange and interest rate products and is likely to be performing a similar role in another investment bank. This is an advisory role covering currencies, emerging markets and interest rate activities in various forms across flow and structured products in EMEA. As such, the work is varied and time critical, requiring a good understanding of market structures, products, market abuse regulation, Chinese wall structures, FCA COB rules, and recent UK, EU and US regulatory developments.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to manage relationships with the businesses at all levels, including senior management. They must be able to think of their feet, often providing ‘live’ regulatory interpretations and decisions to the business in high profile and/or time constrained situations.
 
The incumbent must be a good team player and will be expected to provide back-up support to the fixed income businesses generally and also provide input into new product proposals, business re-organisations, new rules and regulation reviews, front office education and other ad hoc projects, etc. e.g. review of specific initiatives/transactions/structures to identify regulatory issues. The role will require close liaison with other members of the fixed income advisory team.
