JPMorgan Chase's Corporate Controllers is a global organization of about 1,500 colleagues, operating through a partnership among Corporate Accounting Policies, Corporate Regulatory Policy & Reporting and Corporate Financial Reporting, Corporate Sector Accounting, Global Finance Operations (GFO), Global Finance India, and Finance Platform Strategy & Controls.  Inset with in that organization, Telecom Finance is chartered with oversight of global network spend of telecommunication services. The functions within Telecom Finance focus on payment/audit of telecommunication expense,  financial controls, systems and reporting. The International Accounting Analyst in Telecom Finance will be responsible for moderate International assignments including those with a combination of multiple system interfaces and complex payment research, approving of invoices, reporting, and tracking results.
  • Analyze and reconcile complex telecom issues requiring specialized knowledge of Telecom invoice methodology.  Incorporating process/policy standards within the department.
  • Gain thorough understanding of global accounts, including detailed knowledge of operations that affect the account, accounting, system interfaces that affect the accounts, telecommunication terms and contracts and overall transactions flow of operating and closing entries.
  • Respond to, research and resolve outstanding items for assigned global accounts.  Communicate with clearing partners to facilitate resolution of outstanding items.  Clearing partners will include internal customers, external vendors and Managed Service vendor.
  • Identify exemptions to standards on assigned accounts, determining underlying causes and escalating to the supervisor and/or clearing partners as appropriate.  Identify and communicate with other departments.
  • Manage reports timely on disputed/recouped charges as savings according to Telecom Finance standards.
  • Cross-train on other functions in order to provide back up for other analysts during vacations, illness, etc.  Suggest process improvements to supervisor.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as requested by manager or supervisor.
  • Obtain thorough understanding of international cost center bill-out concepts, allocation codes, tax requirements, JPMC legal entities, and general ledger practices and all corporate and/or vendor systems and interfaces.
  • Analyze/communicate out-of-condition abnormalities in monthly statistics to management.
  • Complete/oversee complex projects as requested by management.




  • Strong MS Office knowledge specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills required.
  • Knowledge of Telecommunications and Vendor Management on a global level preferred.
  • Preferably 3-5 years related banking experience.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and research skills are required. 
  • Reconciliation of accounting and understanding of transaction flows, system interfaces and bank operations.
