Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) executes shared services for business, data and contact-center solutions and provides company-wide technology direction through collaborative engineering and architecture leadership. The organizations within CCB are responsible for building and enabling contact centers, data warehouses, advanced analytic solutions, mobile technologies, and for providing architectural oversight for consumer and wholesale banking.
The Data Management & Analytics (DM&A) organization is responsible for building the strategic, analytic data warehouse for Chase Financial Services and managing the Integrated Consumer Data Warehouse (ICDW), Consumer Data Hub (Info1), our new Data Ecosystem platform (Hadoop and Greenplum), and legacy Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) data warehouses. DM&A also provides direction for large data warehouses across the firm.
As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer for the Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) team, you will support the BICC by managing, designing, developing, and implementing report solutions. You will develop strong partnerships with site leaders, supervisors, and managers to understand their business needs and challenges and deliver reporting to meet their needs.
The Applications Developer will be responsible for design and implementation of a reporting shared service. This includes defining reporting approaches, best practices, system design, tuning, and performance, and also data cube loading, security, retrievability, and maintenance.
The Applications Developer must have a sound understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) best practices, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting, both traditional and Big data reporting via Hadoop.
The Applications Developer is responsible for the successful delivery of BI information to the entire organization and is experienced in BI development and implementations, data architecture and data warehousing. Additional responsibilities include:
- 3+ years’ experience in BI Reporting and Dashboard development using one or more of the following tools:
- Cognos (Preferred)
- Tableau (Preferred)
- Proven ability building strong relationships with the business, understanding/documenting their needs, and applying technology to address the needs
- Proficiency in the following:
- Analytical, process, and problem solving skills
- Data Warehousing concepts (DB Semantic modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, data mining, etc.)
- SQL query writing (Teradata preferred, also Greenplum)
- Database Management and Analysis
- True Agile lifecycle for report project delivery
- SDLC lifecycle for report project delivery
