IMA Operations Platform Group:
The group provides project management and business analysis support for complex activities that impact IMA’s operating model and technology platforms. Projects supported by the team can arise from a number of different sources, including new business activities or regulatory change. This is a highly visible role with exposure to the following stakeholders/business partners: Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Funds Administration, Client Service, Finance, Portfolio Management, & Third Party Vendors/Service providers.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the IMA Operations Platform team. The position will require experience with business analysis/requirement gathering and documentation, operating model design and working with Technology partners to document development requirements. Typically the projects will range from complex internal process improvement/efficiency projects (Ops Workstation, Ops Beacon) to major strategic initiatives (New Products - e.g. ETF, New Portfolio Management Systems). The Business Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of managing operational readiness including operating model design and operating procedures, test planning (including test case design), leading test execution and providing training to our operations partners.

Analyze and document business requirements and the operating model for complex new products/new business and business change initiatives.
Lead the analysis and requirement gathering phase with key business partners across Product/Operations and Technology.
Facilitate walkthroughs of the proposed solution with key business and operations partners.
Adhere to defined methodology and best practice for analysis and documentation throughout the requirement gathering phase.
Identify and document all key inputs and outputs, control points, risks and specific nuances of the processes/functions impacted by the initiative.
Document current and future-state process maps and operating models, using MS Visio/iGRAFX standard template format.
Ensure that all requirements and scope for the project are captured in a formal business requirements document (BRD) and are agreed and signed-off by all key stakeholders.
Ensure the end to end business solution meets the business user needs.
Support IT development phase and assist with translating the business requirements into Functional Specification / design documents.
Lead User Acceptance Testing and Implementation phase and provide User Training.
Responsible for the development of detailed test plans & scripts.

Candidate Profile:   

Qualified candidates must possess the following characteristics:   

• Experience leading or working within small groups on a specified outcome.

• Proactive, well organized, detail oriented, strong decision making and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrate excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand, analyze and solve complex business processes.

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal   

• Bachelor's degree, professional project certification, or equivalent work experience preferred   

• Works well under pressure • Good listening and questioning skills   

• Strong people management skills
Technical Competencies
 Experience with Process Management, Analysis and Design methodologies.

 Experience within Exchange Traded Funds – ETFs (Fund Administration, Custody and Order Management)

 Asset Management experience   

 Strong skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).   

 High attention to detail, quality and accuracy.

 High energy and work ethic, responsible, self-starter, team player.

 Highly organized and strong follow-up skills.  Ability to effectively manage competing deliverables and meet tight deadlines in a high pressure environment. Ability to effectively multi-task, work independently and escalate when necessary. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
