QA Analyst

Job Description

  • Corporate Technology and Risk Continuous Improvement and Quality Team evaluate and tests new or modified software applications and software development procedures used to verify that applications function according to technical and functional requirements. 
     
    Responsibilities
    As a Technical Quality Assurance Analyst you will be responsible for the following:
    • Perform all testing related activities for Investment, Regulatory, and BAU initiatives
    • Work within agile development teams with a BDD approach and supporting the developers to quality assure developments early
    • Utilize development skills in data manipulation and scripting  to develop technical, repeatable tests using automated tools
    • Review/maintain existing UI automated regression scripts & BDD test fixtures
    • Coordinate and report testing activities to project team and key stakeholders
    • Provide risk analysis and insight on progress to inform management to take decisions.
    Knowledge and Skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Technically sound with solid analytical, trouble-shooting and risk management skills
    • Experience working with geographically distributed teams
    • Experience working in agile teams with a BDD approach; designing acceptance test criteria for user stories
    • Hands-on experience in Cucumber test automation tool and Gherkin scripting language
    • Hands-on experience in SQL, Java, JavaScript, VBScript and Unix syntax/commands
    • Hands-on experience on open source testing frameworks: Protractor, JUnit, Selenium, QTP
    • Solid understanding of how to create and manage test assets and test data in an enterprise-class development environment
    • Skills in test management tracking tools (e.g. HP QC/HP ALM, JIRA etc.)
      Qualifications
    • A minimum of 4 years IT experience with at least 2 years experience in large complex business systems in enterprise testing domain in the financial/banking sector
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, engineering or relevant working experience
