Transaction Services is one of the largest cash management providers globally servicing more than 135,000 corporations, financial institutions, governments and municipalities in over 180 countries.  Services include cash management, liquidity and escrow services that resolve the working capital and efficiency challenges treasury professionals face today.

 

This position is critical to identifying, assessing and proactively managing the inherent credit and operational risks of those services.

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Apply sound operational and credit risk management principles, judgement, research and investigation to support process.
  • Manage credit exposures/decision cash and securities transactions within designated credit approval authority in an efficient and prudent manner.
  • Work with Operations and Client Services to manage priority/fail transactions, determine appropriate funding for shortfalls and ensure all transactions are actioned by cut off times.
  • Refer transactions over allowed credit approval authority to the appropriate Credit Officer; provide Credit Officer with necessary information for them to make an informed decision.
  • Monitor, acknowledge and approve overnight overdraft exposures.
  • Follow-up with Client Service on aged overdrafts requiring their attention and appropriate prioritization.
  • Actively co-ordinate/liaise with Client Management, Sales and Credit Risk to set-up/ recommend appropriate credit limits/arrangements to support client activity.
  • Engage Credit Risk Middle Office to address data linking issues that are uncovered during the daily approval process.
  • Actively participate in client and country crisis risk management activities, including Rapid Exposure Drills (REDs), with Risk and Business partners.
  • Understand and support operational control and regulatory reporting requirements including Reg O, Reg W and Client Money Account regulations.
  • Liaise with the TAG teams in other regions by sharing information and knowledge on key updates.
  • Participate in the development of the Global Funds Control (GFC), Exposure Control Module (ECM) systems and other related credit control systems.
  • Work on various projects that have an impact to Risk e.g. Liquidity, Regulatory and Product projects
  • Serve as Business Continuity Plan (BCP) coordinator/back-up
  • Early coverage from 8am Singapore required on a rotation basis Provide holiday and out of office coverage via a rotation basis within the team
  • 3-5 years experience in a relevant role (experience in Risk, Operations or Client Service would be useful).
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be proactive, think out of the box and challenge current processes from an efficiency and risk perspective.
  • A good level of understanding of various TS and IS products/services and their credit risks will be advantageous
  • An understanding on how the global financial system operates and the process by which securities and cash settle in the market.
  • Previous experience with JPM credit systems will be useful.
