Key responsibilities
  • To lead instruction capture middle office related programs in Custody and Fund services
  • Demonstrate both theoretical and practical awareness of the commercial impact of middle office offering to the business, and to help identify potential product offerings and revenue opportunities created by the evolving middle office competitive landscape
  • Bring leadership, knowledge and expertise to help drive programs with key partners-towards both clear definitions and implementation
  • Subject Matter Expertise - must have experience of delivering change in an operational environment, ideally within hedge fund services, custody, fund services, prime brokerage and/or private equity with emphasis on instruction capture and management (instructions capture includes trades, cash and capital events processing)
  • Establish and manage relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders and participants from Product, Technology, Operations, Client Service, and partner organizations
  • Construct/Design/Implement and maintain the proper governance structure based upon each individual program
  • Drive requirements gathering, definition and the documentation of requirements to the required quality level
  • Apply critical thinking to understand requirements; identify, evaluate and propose solutions where necessary
  • Testing:  Guide and review test strategy/scripts with UAT lead.
  • Operations readiness: Lead current state and future state flows and support required for defining on boarding model including migration planning and execution
  • Enthusiasm & Influence - proven ability to drive and influence change within an operations and technology environment.
  • Organization & Planning - proven ability to track and monitor multiple deliverables and give clarity and direction to all involved parties.
  • Client Engagement - proven experience of interacting directly with internal and external clients.
  • Communication Skills - ability to adapt communication style according to audience and occasion. Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders but internal and external to the form
  • Provide verbal and written status updates as required by to support senior management
  • Act as SME to client facing stakeholders (new business and on-going client support)
  • Product Inquiries.  Assist with the resolution of client inquiries and production support issues that cannot be handled by the Help Desk or Technology Product Support Team.
Essential skills
  • Expertise in using structured program methodology
  • Skilled use of Microsoft Office, including Visio and Project
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • A high standard of written documentation and use of clear concise language
  • A high level of attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Extensive experience within financial services with a strong focus on the trades processing and large complex system integrations
  • Bachelors degree,  Program or project  certification, or equivalent work experience
