Asset Management, GWM, Business Quality Assurance (BQA) Senior Analyst (6 month Fixed Term Contract), Geneva

Global Wealth Management (GWM) is the private banking business arm of the Asset Management line of business within JP Morgan. It has offered for over 160 years customized solutions and client service of the highest quality to solve the complex needs of wealthy individuals and their families around the world. 

The opening is for a GWM - Business Quality Assurance Analyst to be part of a recently formed assurance function. The team will have responsibility for monitoring and testing adherence to policies and procedures by Client Advisors and Control/Support functions across EMEA, Asia, Latam and US. The testing primarily covers Suitability, Cross-Border activity, Selling Practices and Code of Conduct.

The position is part of a wider Global Business Quality Assurance team with employees already based in London, Geneva, Hong Kong, Singapore and at various locations across the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing testing and monitoring of business controls covering Suitability, Cross Border, Selling Practices and Code of Conduct
  • Design and production of regular Management Information (MIS) – compiling data and producing regular reporting as required by senior management and business forums
  • Oversee review findings remediation to ensure all items are closed in a timely manner
  • Regular liaison with front and middle office employees regarding review findings and where appropriate, escalation to senior management
  • Ad-hoc regulatory / audit-related remediation projects

Languages:

  • English and Spanish (fluent)

Qualifications:

  • CA with a work experience of 2-3 years or a commerce graduate with 5+ years of work experience in a financial institution/Assurance firm with previous audit or monitoring and testing experience
  • Self-motivated individual who is enthusiastic and has experience in a risk or control environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple work-streams, taking into consideration different time zones
  • Assist the team in maintaining the existing reporting procedures, tools and workflows necessary to facilitate the reporting process.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and efficient manner with multiple support teams, both locally and globally.
  • Support all aspects of maintenance and improvement of the reporting processes by leveraging various Microsoft tools (like Excel & Access). Knowledge of VBA, SharePoint and Visio would be a definite plus.
  • Solid organizational skills with ability to consolidate and analyze data received from multiple clients
  • Good analytical skills, eye for numbers
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in order to facilitate communication with employees of varying levels, with diverse roles and different native languages
