The Mobile and Alerts Business Analyst will join an elite, entrepreneurial and collegial team within J.P. Morgan’s Corporate Investment Bank (CIB). One of the most high profile investments within the bank, J.P. Morgan Markets (JPMM) is the firm’s new single dealer platform which provides clients seamless access to critical functionality across the trade lifecycle, from research, analytics and structuring to trading and post-trading, across markets globally.

Responsibilities:
 
The Business Analyst will work with the J.P. Morgan Markets mobile product and alerts team assisting in the entire project lifecycle including gathering requirements, writing specification documents, testing, and collaborating with end users to drive delivery of business requirements and feedback. Key responsibilities will include:
 
  • Gathering user requirements, documenting user stories and communicating with developers to manage the entire product development cycle
  • Working with the product managers to prioritize feedback, manage the backlog and close co-ordination with other teams to manage dependencies and release scheduling
  • Communicating with stakeholders across multiple teams including sales, client services, development and product to ensure successful product deliveries, training and client adoption
  • Leading and signing off QA effort to ensure end deliveries are according to original specification
  • Compiling and evaluating candidate projects for future product design
  • Coordinating across numerous teams to gain consensus, mediating conflicting priorities and developing innovative and efficient approaches to issue resolution
  • Updating and informing all product groups and stakeholders on development plans and strategies
  • Analyzing our capabilities and identifying priority gaps and opportunities
  • Gaining partner buy-in by developing consensus around gaps, strategies and plans
 
Qualifications:
 
Candidates must have prior experience in leading client facing technology business analysis and/or project management. Experience in the financial markets is desired. The successful candidate should also possess the following attributes:
 
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter who is creative with a ‘can-do’ attitude 
  • Ability to execute flawlessly handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, while maintaining a high degree of communication and escalation at appropriate junctures
  • Team player comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting-style, unstructured environment
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical problem solving skills – as well as written and verbal communication
  • Quick learner with strong attention to detail
  • Professional maturity, personal integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to receive and act upon feedback
  • High-level of proficiency in MS-Office products (powerpoint, excel, word)
